10 Great Tools for Learning New Languages

As I wrote in my previous posts about tips in learning a new language, part 1 and part 2. Today I'll share some great sites that will help you along as a tool in improving your stuff.

 Let's get on with the list of 10 sites to help you with your language;
1. Livemocha: that would be the first site I'll recommend. It has like over 20 languages to learn. Provided with audio, text, video and native people to practice with.

2. About: that's another great site you can benefit from. Expert and pros will be your teacher in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and English as a second language.

3. Mylanguageexchange: another great site for language exchanging. It's not free though and you have to pay a small fee to access more lesson on the site which are worth it.

4. Chinese-Tool: for those who are interesting and learning Chinese language. Lots of text, lessons, audio and video. Pretty much like livemocha.
5. Conversationexchange: as the address states it's all about exchanging conversations. Get around with native people you are interested in and teach one in exchange.

Recover Your Lost Data CD

Did your CD went blank after you can swear that you burnt your files in it in the right methods and you even check everything then it's all vanished!? Do you still see the computer giving you a status of a full (or to a certain) size CD but you don't see anything there, just an empty space?! Did the (show hidden files and folders) trick fail to get your important and favorite stuff back from your CD!? And all the other things didn't work too?!

Well, worry no more cause today we have a magical savoir for these situations.

First, let's just talk why this situation happens. After experiencing the same thing I did a little search on google and found these 2 possibles for vanishing files from CD;

1. The files didn't get burnt on the CD.
This happens when you are using a CD-writer. Like to open the CD from (My Computer) then drop and drag or copy and paste your files to it, write and then done. Sometimes this process isn't done and you think the files are on your CD. You can see them cause they are still in the cache of the PC but once you try it on another computer you won't find your files there. So double checking is must.

2. Using rewritable CD (RW)
In this cause since it's a rewritable one your files might mistakenly get replaced with new files when you burn them. Cause it has the feature of writing and erasing files from it. So the chance of happening is possible.

Now let's get with the main topic of this post, how to get them back?!

Are You in Touch with the Ones You Know?!

Staying in touch!
Meeting someone new in our daily life is a natural matter that happens from time to time. We meet them in school, work, in the mall or anywhere else. By time passage & while talking with them, a sort of relation builds between us. Some try to keep this relation or bond to remember the times they spend together or because they love them & without them life won't be that much joyful as it was with their company.
Thus they stay in touch with them . But not all people are alike, true that they love and care about the ones they know yet they just don't know how important it is to stay in touch with others.

By observing, I noticed these types of people and their methods to keep in touch with the ones they know and people around them ….

How to Make the (Show Desktop) Icon

One of the icons in the task bar is the (show desktop) icon which enable to view the whole desktop when clicking on it. It's very useful when you have a lot of programs opened then you want to jump to a file, folder or any other item on the desktop. Also, if you are one of those who care about privacy much and on a shared computer to hide all your stuff and whatever you are working on once anybody comes into your room.
Accidents might happen and you can delete that icon by mistake. It's not a shortcut that you can replace back easily. Today's post I'll show you how to make this icon in case you deleted it by mistake, it disappear or just to know how =)

So, let's get started!

Don't Do It!

Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as they would be your life,
For without them, life is meaningless.

Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.

Don't give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Tips for Kanji: On & Kun Reading

This blog is not about languages nor about Japanese but it IS about the experience I gained in different fields and Kanji happens to be one of them. So today I'll share my method in learning how to know the Kun from the On reading.

The most interesting thing about Japanese is Kanji. It's fun and difficult in the same thing. Learning the writing system is unique and none like other. It's not just letters and alphabets, it's specific drawings that have certain meaning that what makes it interesting.

Before starting with it, one needs a lot of tips and info about Kanji in general. I read many useful ones and figured out a method of my own. But first there's one important note, at the beginning it seems a real hard thing and as many believe it takes a long time to finish though it's true that it takes some time to learn almost an amount that makes you able to read Japanese but it's not a long time, depending on how much you study every day.

Here's a simple way I followed in learning kanji:

How to Control Short Temper

Being a short tempered person can cause you troubles on your health and relationships. Controlling such temper could be a challenge at some points. Whenever you find yourself firing up if a guys talked with you in a rude way or your friend forget to get you your stuff or even if your whole day went bad, you could consider these steps to tame your temper.

1. Counting to 10
Yeah! We said this a lot of times to kids and saw it in movies and shows and in fact this method is really helpful and powerful. Taking a deep breath and counting to ten lets your mind to take a break from what happened and think it all over again.

2. Change Position
If you are standing sit down. If you are sitting lay down. Change your body satiation from a condition to another will allow the body to clam down.

3. Think before you speak
When the anger is all over you, you'll say things you don't mean and regret for it later. So don't make this mistake and take a little bit of time before replying back.

4. Take a break
If someone made you mad just stop the conversation for a while and take a break. Eat a light snack, walk in the garden, watch a short video clip. Just allow your mind to free the stress then talk again with clear mind.

5. Wash your face
When you're mad it's like getting FIRED with anger. Splash your face with water to (cool) that (fire) then you'll feel you're are losing your anger slowly slowly.

Contentment~! The Endless Treasure

Let me ask you something, how's your life going?!

Are you happy with the way you are!?
Or working to get yourself a better life?!
Do you consider yourself one who didn't get blessed with God's gifts?!
and living your life everyday in a misery?!

As I always say, people's goal in this life is mainly to have a comfortable living style. Less work more money and lasting rest and relaxation. You just can't live like that unless you really have a the materials that allow you to enjoy life in such way. Some people work to their bones, others are blessed and live in heaven. The don't have to do anything at all. The money just comes to them. It's their destiny to have all these.

Even though you do your best you find yourself sometimes the saddest person in the whole world! I know, it happens with me too at some points...

When you come to see the reason you notice it's due the lack of money, rest, education, blessing, some compare their selves to others and say (why I'm not like my neighbor) or (why I don't have the same beauty as my friend does) stuff like that make you think over and over then consider yourself the unlucky-est person out there.

You work for these and even think about them, it's a natural thing. Cause everybody are doing their best to get at better level. But, what I want to to think of is something else. Suppose that you're  not as beautiful and your friend or not rich as your schoolmate or lucky as your co-worker, whoever that are comparing yourself with. Just let them aside and think about what YOU really got. Even if you are missing something there's always another item covering up for you.
