1. His full name is Donald Fauntleroy Duck. 
(Why the middle name, he’s a DUCK)
2. In the 40’s he was even more popular than Mickey Mouse despite being a secondary character, hence being featured on more shows.

3. Donald’s family consists of nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, wealthy uncle Scrooge McDuck (a’m Dahab), cousin Gladstone Gander, and Grandma Duck. Father's name is Quackmore Duck, mother is Hortense McDuck, and twin sisters are Della and Thelma Duck.
4. Donald built a car from spare parts (registration number: 313). He also has a boat, the “Miss Daisy”. (Why does he have a boat and a car? Again he’s a duck!).

5. His pet dogs were called Bolivar and Behemoth.
6. Supposedly Mickey Mouse represents what we should be and Donald what we are.

7. Donald Duck was banned in Finland because he doesn’t wear trousers. That turned out to be a myth that stuck with Americans for a long time. What really happened was, due to financial ruin, politicians in Helsinki decided not to waste their tax-payers money on American comic strips and so banned the character from both TV and books.
8. Donald duck wears a sailor suit most of the time, because that was children’s fashion trend back in the 40’s.

9. The duck is also known as Kalle Anka in Sweden, Anders And in Denmark, Andrés ?nd in Iceland, Aku Ankka in Finland , Paperino Italy, and Batut in Egypt.
10. Donald Duck is the mascot of the University of Oregon and has a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame.
